SF Eco®-Duct Description
Planning and building
The SF-ECO®DUCT was placed over a 30-metre distance to drain a road covered with Tegula®-Tec. The road width is 4 metres and has a longitudinal gradient of approx. 1.5%, and a transverse gradient of at least 2.5%.
Parallel to the road, to the right and the left of the drain pit, two parking bays (with a gradient of approx. 1.5%) were paved with Rima in transverse direction to the SF-Eco®Duct. One parking bay was bordered on the side of the drain pit using the SF-EcoDuct and connected to the conduit system through the scooped T block. In the second parking bay, curved borders were used on the side of the drain pits. Opposite the SF-Eco®Duct, and parallel to the drain pit and the parking bays, high-border blocks were placed, and a walkway was built.
Sand bed and base course
To preserve the existing level of the company property as much as possible, the existing grit base was removed, leaving a 15 cm space, and the soil was dug out to a depth of 15 cm and removed.
Then the sand bed was made and compacted in the area of the parking bays. The drain pit was shaped. The first 15 cm base was built from a recycled mineral mix, levelled and compacted. The grit, which had been removed previously, was placed in two layers of 25 cm as the second base. The top layer was a 0/16 mm mineral mix.
